History of the town

Villeneuve Loubet is also a city of history, indeed, great historical figures have left their mark: Romée de Villeneuve, Baron from Vence and especially François 1er, King of France, who resided at the castle in June 1538.
Villeneuve-Loubet is also the birthplace of Auguste Escoffier, the creator of Peche Melba, cook of kings and king of cooks. His birthplace, transformed into a Museum of Culinary Art, is one of the “illustrious houses” of France.
