Accessible from the “moyenne Corniche”, situated on a rocky spur 429 m above the Mediterranean, Eze is a village perched between the sea and the mountains facing the sea.

History of the town

Lost in history, Eze Bord de Mer was reborn as a seaside resort at the end of the 20th century. The charm of the village attracts and becomes the gathering place for walkers from Nice. Eze sur Mer will then become international by welcoming a Russian colony wishing to escape the massacres of the 1917 revolution. The painter Sakarof, Princess Antoinette, sister of Prince Rainier of Monaco, and Bono from the U2 group also let stay in this village of a thousand facets.

The Garden of WondersDiscovering the Botanical Garden. This is a place not to be missed, it offers one of the most beautiful panoramas of the coast.
Housed in the ruins of a medieval fortress, it is home to hundreds of succulent plants, cacti, agaves and other crassulaceous plants with surprising shapes such as the old man’s candle covered with white hair.
Along the paths, female statues punctuate the progress of visitors. Answering to the names of Chloé, Barbara, Isis… they call out to passers-by with a quatrain composed by the artist. From the top of the garden, from the Côte d’Azur to Saint-Tropez, the panorama is striking.
A contemplative space equipped with deckchairs encourages visitors to soak up the landscape.
