    Watching A Film Outdoors On The Beach

    Couldn’t get tickets to the Cannes film festival red carper? No problem! Although a ticket is required to enter the Palais des Festivals – it is possible to watch some cult films on the beach. Every evening from 9.30 pm the Cinéma de la Plage offers open-air projections accessible to the public. Head to the Macé beach to enjoy some cult films in a deckchair!

    A Stroll Along The World-Famous Cannes Croisette – Or In The Old Quarter Of Cannes

    Visiting the world-famous Cannes Croisette is a must-do! This 2 kilometres boulevard runs adjacent to the Mediterranean Sea and is peppered with world-famous designer boutiques and glamorous cafes. You can relax on one of the benches and take in the view, or browse the luxury shops. The Croisette is particularly lively during the Cannes Film Festival – from morning tonight! It’s a great opportunity for to people watch and catch a glimpse of a celebrity!

    The old quarter of Cannes (Le Suquet) is located at the western end of the Croisette. You can wander around the pretty winding streets and the harbour and enjoy a large choice of local restaurants! In addition, you can buy some provencal produce from the Forville Market!  On Mondays, the market turns into a flea market full of historic antiques from around the Riviera. The opening hours for the market are: Tuesday to Sunday from 7am to 1pm and Monday from 7am to 5pm.

    Visit The Old Port

    After your stroll through the Suquet, you should head for the old port. It is one of the oldest ports found on the Côte d’Azur. It is a charming place with many bars and restaurants with sunny terraces. The harbour houses mainly pleasure boats, luxury yachts and some fishing boats. It is also home to the luxurious star fleet!

    A Little Retail Therapy

    The Rue d’Antibes is the perfect place to do your shopping. This shopping street is the longest high street in Europe! Which stretches for 1.2 kilometres and offers a wide choice of shops such as Jewelers, cosmetics, high street and designer fashion, and interior decor. Rue d’Antibes is a high street price point and is therefore slightly less luxurious than the Croisette. You will still find some great brands! It is especially great for finding independent fashion boutiques.

    Visit The Casinos 

    Cannes is the only city in France to have 3 different casinos! You can easily choose between the 3.14 Casino, the Casino Barrière Croisette and the Casino Barrière Les Princes. Each establishment offers an elegant and refined setting to welcome players from all over the world. There are plenty of choices to keep you entertained until the end of the night!

    Between the two Barrière Casinos lies the famous Barrière Le Majestic Hotel. This mythical place offers a perfect alliance between tradition and modernity.     Finally if have had enough of the spotlight, you can get some fresh air on the islands next to Cannes. An archipelago of 5 islands, including Sainte-Honorat and Saint-Marguerite, can be reached by boat from Cannes in a few minutes. Far from the hustle and bustle, these islands offer you a moment of calm and serenity. The island of Sainte-Honorat is protected and is a nature reserve, and home to a fortified monastery and the Abbey of Lérins. This island belongs to the Cistercian monks, who protect the place and its inhabitants. Many vines are cultivated, and you can take part in wine tasting, the origins of which go back to the Middle Ages. The island of Sainte-Honorat hosts the annual Festival of Silence (during the Cannes Film Festival), a spiritual moment that attracts some celebrities in search of peace.
