The Alpe Hohenegg in Oberallgäu
The Alpe Hohenegg is a modern hut in the middle of the Imberg at 1130 metres. Only 2 kilometres away from the Hochgrat.
The alpine area, which is a nature reserve, is characterised by an idyllic landscape with forests, streams, alpine flora and much more.
Not far from Oberstaufen and nestled against the Imberg, the mountain inn ‘Alpe Hohenegg’ is located at an altitude of 1130 metres in one of the southernmost corners of the Oberallgäu.
The modern building complex on a traditional alpine pasture was completely rebuilt in 2004. In order to retain the charm of a farmed alpine pasture, the location and orientation of the ‘original alpine pasture’ were retained unchanged.
The result is a place that has retained its alpine character in combination with a modern, angular wooden design. The ‘Alpe Hohenegg’ radiates its very own ambience, the clarity of the architecture as well as its authenticity and straightforwardness are inspiring. Guests can enjoy breathtaking mountain views from the panoramic terrace.
