SUMMARY

Biot (pronounced “Biotte”) is a charming village a few kilometers from the sea, perched on a hill, surrounded by flowers, mimosas, roses, carnations, Biot is known throughout the world for its ceramic and pieces of blown glass with bubbles, this is also where many varieties of flowers are grown.

History of the town

Sheltered from invaders, Biot was surrounded by ramparts completed in 1566, followed by a wealth of historical events: invasions, ruins, epidemics … The city was the seat of a Commandery of the Templars in 1209, then of the Knights of Malta in 1312.
For several centuries, the village of Biot was one of the most important potters’ centers in the entire Mediterranean basin. The Biot jar, formerly used as a container for oil, grains, or water, was an integral part of daily life and today remains a strong symbol of this village full of history.

The Golf of BiotYou will enjoy the Golf de Biot, also known as the Bastide du Roy. Also including a driving range, a restaurant and a shop, the Golf de Biot has a magnificent 18-hole course which is gracefully traversed in the exceptional site where it is installed, a way of discovering an exceptional site for beginners as well as for experienced.
Ideally located with the Brague and the Valmasque which are the two rivers which constitute natural obstacles. With all along the route, a panoramic view of the village of Biot, the city of glassmakers.
