Cannes is amongst the most famous cities in France and its name is synonymous with the movie festival that bears its name. It is a city that exudes both glamour and style and, being blessed with a temperate climate of warm summers and mild winters, it provides a wonderful year round destination for both holidaymakers and business travelers alike.
The city itself is largely characterised by ‘La Croisette’ the tree-lined boulevard that curves around the bay and links Palm Beach to the Quai St Pierre. Founded in the early 11th century by monks seeking sanctuary from marauding Saracens, ‘La Suquet’ is home to La Tour de Mt Chevalier and Notre-Dame-de-l’Espérence, two of the city’s oldest structures.
