Situated in the western part of the French Riviera, the town of St Tropez is synonymous with the celebrities and millionaires who have been spending their holidays here since the late 1950’s. Perhaps the best-known part of St Tropez is the old port, which houses the town’s large marina. Many of these artist works are displayed in the excellent Annonciade Museum, which at the time of its inauguration in 1957, was considered to be the first modern art museum in France.
