Cap D'antibes

Located between Nice and Cannes, Antibes-Juan-les-Pins comprises the ancient town of Antibes and the relatively modern resort of Juan-les-Pins. Together the two towns offer an exciting combination for residents and tourists alike. Antibes is an exceptionally scenic old town and is one of the most culturally and historically rich destinations on the French Riviera, while Juan-le-Pins hosts a vibrant nightlife. As such Antibes-Juan-les Pins real estate is highly sought after and those investing in Antibes-Juan-les Pins property are sure to feel well rewarded.

Originally founded as a Greek colony during the 5th century BC, Antibes soon established itself as an important trading centre and during the Roman occupation; between 43 BC and 476 AD it became the principal town of the region. During the 10th century, following the dark ages, Antibes fell under the protectorship of Seigneur Rodoar, who built the towns fortifications and castle, which still stand today. Following a period of stability, which lasted some 200 years, the town again fell into decline and was ravaged by wars until it finally fell under French rule.

After a long period of obscurity the town was ‘rediscovered’ during the 19th century by wealthy patrons who built the first of the many luxurious Antibes villas that have continued to be so popular in modern times. In 1926, the old castle was bought by the local municipality and converted into the museum, which following his six-month visit in 1946, was established as the Picasso Museum. Following its christening in 1882, Juan-les-Pins was meanwhile establishing itself as a major holiday resort attracting the ‘jet-set’ with its modern casinos and nightclubs growing up alongside its attractive beaches.

Carlton International is pleased to offer a number of luxurious villas in both Antibes and Juan-les-Pins. Please browse our listings and call one of our representatives should you require further details on any of our Antibes or Juan-les-Pins properties.
